Clinical Lead: GiOVANNI BIONDi

Giovanni Biondi is a dentist specialized in orthodontics. For nearly thirty years he has collaborated with the Tweed International Foundation (Tucson, Arizona) and works with universities and orthodontic residency programs across Italy and Europe. 
He is Secretary General of the Tweed European Orthodontic Society and Clinical Lead at the Istituto Giuseppe Cozzani.ù
He was a professional basketball player with 10 seasons in Serie A between 1971 and 1981.

Late 1980s: Clinical course at Gaslini Hospital in Genoa (under Prof. Giornanetto): a turning point that shaped his career.
Following years: Appointed Instructor at the Tweed International Foundation (Tucson).
Last 30 years: Continuous teaching in private and university programs across multiple European countries.
Today: Clinical coordination at the Istituto Giuseppe Cozzani, training on fundamentals, contemporary techniques, and digital workflows.


Teaching

He teaches the core principles of orthodontics (diagnosis, anchorage, biomechanics, finishing) and their application in contemporary protocols. Goal: provide young clinicians with clear, transferable tools for daily practice, with emphasis on clinical cases and measurable outcomes.

High-quality orthodontics starts from strong fundamentals. On this base, modern techniques and digital/3D tools ensure accurate, reproducible, and long-term results.

Nel 2005 rilancia a La Spezia il centro corsi clinici avviato dal padre, progettando percorsi che integrano lezioni, esercitazioni su modelli e attività clinica su pazienti: un modello “learning by doing” che ha formato generazioni di ortodontisti.
Ha tenuto lezioni e corsi in Europa, Americhe, Africa e Asia.
